Arden was suppose to have been born on the 9th and they were going to the hospital to induce on the 15 early in morning. Little Arden decided he didn't want any help and the contractions started as soon as they got to the hospital.
We spent a wonderful two weeks getting to know Arden and helped in anyway we could. We gave as much advice as we could, thinking way back to when our girls were little. So many people from the church came by with meals for all of us and it was overwhelming to feel the generosity of them all. One included a birthday cheese cake for Arden and Shirley. Shirley says this is the best birthday she has ever had.
The two weeks went by way too fast and it was hard to leave. Our picture files in our computers and phones are full, thanks to Josiah and Michelle keeping us posted. We are glad to share anytime when asked, or maybe not even asked. 😊
When Jon was not sneaking a few holds here and there of his grandson, he was helping with the preventing of freezing pipes and a leaky washing machine at Krista's house, he was running errands for us and many other helpful things. Since Krista and her cousin rent the house from Jon's brother and we try to help out with anything we can since he does so much for us while we are way. Oh and we got to see it snow! Something we hadn't seen for 15 years.
